Operating Principle

The SITRANS LCS050 operates using an AC capacitance field at the sensor tip to detect changes in dielectric constant when in contact with a medium. This ensures high repeatability and stable switching. The PEEK probe material offers excellent chemical resistance and reliable operation in high-vibration environments (up to 5 g), such as in agitated tanks or pipelines.

Operating Conditions

• Temperature range: –20 to +100 °C

• SIP-resistant: up to 135 °C for 1 hour (Sterilization-in-Place)

• Hygienic design with chemical-resistant probe material—suitable for food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and sanitary industries

• Water-based liquids >10% content: alcohols, acids, detergents
